When it comes to our home town of Erlangen, we go into raptures and it is difficult to narrow down the number of favourite places. However, we understand that our guests don’t always have much time, so here are our top 3.

Erlangen Old Town

The discovery tour starts right on our doorstep. Via Schiffstraße, with its many cafés and shops, we head for the palace gardens and the botanical gardens. A popular meeting place for young and old – whether for picnics, strolling or relaxing. Click here for more information.

Franconian Switzerland

The landscape of Franconian Switzerland is characterised by the Wiesent river and the Walberla mountain, which offers a great view, as well as steep rock formations made of Jurassic limestone. Burgberg

The Burgberg is one of our real favourite places. Not only because of the Welsgarten and the Erlanger Bergkirchweih. The sculpture garden is a real insider tip. You can find even more recommendations here.

Our rooms

We offer 40 guest rooms, which are spread over three buildings. All of our rooms are individually furnished and guarantee a comfortable and pleasant stay in our Franconian metropolitan region. Our standard rooms have a size of 15-18 square meters. The comfortable box spring beds promise a good night’s sleep. For the most part, our larger comfort rooms are situated in a quiet location facing the inner courtyard. These two categories combine the timeless with the modern. Breakfast – well fortified for the day

Besides the classic breakfast offer, it is important to us to offer regional products as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. The path from our own herb garden to your plate is the shortest and we avoid unnecessary packaging. On our breakfast buffet you will find homemade jams, honey from our own bees and delicious Birchermüsli. We offer a variety of egg dishes, fried sausages and grilled bacon. On request, we have lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan products ready for you. Kindly let us know via our Gastfreund app by 6pm the day before.

Bike hotel

Erlangen has so much to offer, it’s worth bringing your bike. It will be safe and well looked after at night in our double parking space in the inner courtyard. We have plenty of information for you. Tour tips, a repair station with bicycle pump and much more. The hotel’s own or external rental bikes are available for all eventualities.
